About this artwork
Many of my works owe their powerful expressiveness to their diverse textures and multiple layers of paint. In this painting, however, I worked primarily with color rather than texture. Upon closer inspection, one can see many different layers of paint in the background, some of which I painted over opaquely, others in glazes. These numerous layers create a vibrancy that reinforces the clear forms and lends the work depth. A painting only receives…
a title once it is finished. The large candle in the center (or whatever the viewer perceives) is accompanied by a smaller counterpart on the right and a companion on the left, which led me to the title "companions."

From file folder to canvas art / Where opposites meet
Precisely because my professional path was rather “dry,” I always sought balance in creative work.
After several years of experience in silk and watercolor painting, I developed a desire to express my freedom more fully. This is how I discovered my current great passion in acrylic painting and mixed media. I learned the craft from internationally renowned artists. I continued to educate myself in my own studio.
My images suggest the traces of the long process it often takes to find inner peace. They depict a broad spectrum of life—moments of joy, courage, and lightheartedness, but sometimes also moments of frustration, vulnerability, and chaos.
I don't want to provoke with my art, but rather build a bridge - from a stressful everyday life to a world in which our soul can find peace.
