About this artwork
I wanted to work with Nepalese paper, a luminous natural paper and I also used pieces of dyed silk as well as embroidery stitches to link the different ones. Some elements are glued. I created movements between the elements, a bit like filaments which move in the fluidity of a liquid and which join other unidentified living beings.

Véronique Masquelier uses a wide variety of mediums, ranging from collage to sewing, and benefits from a solid artistic training, including a degree in visual arts and eight years of fine arts studies. She mixes techniques and styles: watercolor, acrylic, pastels, cyanotype, X-rays, and recycled objects, creating eclectic compositions with expressionist and sometimes surrealist accents. Through her works, she aims to convey a communicative joy, immerse the viewer in a vibrant universe, and arouse in her a deep emotion and an irresistible desire to "dance" in her creations.
