Veronika Staat-Bachmann uses painting, photography, sculpture and collage, influenced by her intensive studies in Cologne, Stuttgart, Paris and a study stay in Japan. She works with acrylics, mixed media, and reworked paintings, with impasto layers, photographic elements, and associative superimpositions defining her style. Her works encompass series of nature motifs, cathedrals, and chimeras—inviting the viewer to question time and reality, while a magical dialogue between light, nature, and the unconscious radiates poignant longing and awakening hope.
My statement: "Art is the blossoming of nature within man. Art is the language of the soul through man."
