About this artwork
This work is from my Framing series. Drawing an analogy with gonzo journalism, where the reporter doesn’t just report events but actively participates in them, I call the works from the series 'erotic gonzo photography'. No professional models were used; I captured the majority of these shots during my personal life over a span of 20 to 30 years. Later, I decided to frame them, but not in the usual way. I worked backward, starting from the end and…
moving to the beginning: I collected vintage frames, and for each one, I searched my analogue and digital archive for a suitable photograph to create a work specifically designed and digitally manipulated for that particular frame. Thus, I framed not the picture itself, but your perception of it.
