About this artwork
This painting is of an iris garden not far from where Vicki lives. She went there a few years ago to look at irises and purchased some for her own flower garden. Their property was very beautiful and Vicki took some photos of their gardens while there, later painting this scene from her favorite photo.

Vicki Van Vynckt’s paintings have been exhibited throughout the United States and Europe. The American artist wishes to convey the importance of connectivity to nature, of all beings to each other and a divine source. Van Vynckt primarily creates representational landscapes in oil, but she also paints abstracts using watercolours and alcohol-based inks. She starts with a sketch, then adds additional layers with dry brushing techniques.
