About this artwork
This work symbolizes inner peace, balance, and harmony with oneself and nature. The delicate image of the woman surrounded by greenery highlights both the vulnerability and strength of feminine nature. Her pose, gazing to the side, and the lightness of the fabric symbolize a moment of quiet reflection, when one dives into their thoughts while being at peace with the surrounding world. The floral patterns on her dress, blooming as if carried by the… wind, speak of the connection between humans and nature, where every detail is part of a unified whole. The painting serves as a reminder of the importance of finding beauty in the moment, cherishing stillness, and feeling connected to the world around us. It inspires the viewer to pause, embrace the present, and rediscover inner harmony amidst the bustle of life.
I’m Victoria Shul, a contemporary artist based in London, originally from Ukraine. I work with acrylics, oils, gold leaf, textured paste, epoxy resin, and mixed media. My process is intuitive and emotional. I follow what I feel in the moment, expressing it through texture, layers, and symbolism. After the war in Ukraine began and I moved to London, painting became a way to process, to heal, and to stay grounded. It brought more honesty and emotional depth into my work. I explore themes like inner transformation, feminine energy, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. I want my art to be felt, not just seen. I’m self-taught, inspired by dreams, emotion, nature, and the silent language of color. My style moves between abstraction, symbolism, and something spiritual. At the heart of it, I create a connection to offer something real, honest, and deeply human.
