About this artwork
Nordic Path explores the delicate balance of life within an Arctic landscape. A textured, frozen terrain is divided by a narrow, crystalline channel — a symbol of hope and survival. In these icy waters, a mother orca and her calf glide gracefully, embodying resilience and the nurturing bond between generations. Along the snowy bank, subtle paw prints reveal a polar bear and her cub on a parallel journey. Through this interplay of land and sea, the… work reflects the profound interconnectedness of Arctic life, emphasizing endurance, adaptation, and the quiet strength needed to thrive in an unforgiving world.
I’m Victoria Shul, a contemporary artist based in London, originally from Ukraine. I work with acrylics, oils, gold leaf, textured paste, epoxy resin, and mixed media. My process is intuitive and emotional. I follow what I feel in the moment, expressing it through texture, layers, and symbolism. After the war in Ukraine began and I moved to London, painting became a way to process, to heal, and to stay grounded. It brought more honesty and emotional depth into my work. I explore themes like inner transformation, feminine energy, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. I want my art to be felt, not just seen. I’m self-taught, inspired by dreams, emotion, nature, and the silent language of color. My style moves between abstraction, symbolism, and something spiritual. At the heart of it, I create a connection to offer something real, honest, and deeply human.
