About this artwork
I painted this seascape to capture the ocean's raw energy and dynamic beauty meeting the rugged coastline. I was drawn to the dramatic interplay of light and shadow on the turbulent water, the powerful crash of the waves against the rocks, and the contrasting textures of the smooth, foamy water and the rough, dark stone. I wanted to convey the feeling of being present in that moment – the sound of the crashing waves, the cool spray of the water,…
and the vastness of the sea stretching out to the horizon. The painting is an expression of the untamed power of nature and its ability to both create and erode the landscape.
