In my painting, a fiery orange sun dips low on the horizon, casting warm hues across the sky and illuminating a sky filled with orange, yellow, and pink clouds. Below, the Pacific Ocean churns with energetic blue and teal waves, their white foam crashing towards the shore. A dark rock juts from the water.
To the right, a rugged, dark coastline rises. The foreground bursts with a magnificent field of wildflowers, predominantly fiery orange and red,… interspersed with lush greens, yellows, and purples. My thick, textured palette knife strokes, typical of impasto, bring these blossoms to life.
