About this artwork
This original textured abstract painting captures the essence of natural erosion, stone surfaces, and aged walls. Created with multiple layers of acrylic and texture medium, it features a subtle blend of earthy greys, ochre yellows, rusty browns, and soft hints of green and blue.
The weathered surface, full of cracks, scratches, and pigment shifts, gives the work an archaeological or geological presence — like the passage of time engraved on canvas.… This piece is ideal for modern, minimalist, industrial, or wabi-sabi interiors, adding quiet depth and sophistication to any environment.
Whether viewed as an abstract landscape or a fragment of nature, this artwork invites contemplation and connection with the material world.

Viki Smoliar, born in an artistic Ukrainian family, disciplines herself in painting enriched by cinematic luminance. Embracing mixed media techniques, she layers paints, initiating a dialogue between tradition and self-expression, gradually evoking depth and transformation. Her work is a pursuit of harmony, expressing sensations, and emotional states through color and texture interplays. Smoliar captures the transient beauty of light, shadow, and time's trace, conveying the dynamics of change and the hidden life beneath apparent surfaces.
