About this artwork
This portrait of Albert Einstein, "Einstein. Dissolving into time", seems to have been created by the very nature of time — elusive, fluid, inexorable. His face appears through the layers of paint, like a memory that gradually disappears, leaving behind only the light of genius. Rough, chaotic brushstrokes convey the dynamics of thought, the energy of ideas, but at the same time, the fragility of the human essence before eternity. The yellow-grey… shades create the feeling of old parchment, on which the formula of genius is imprinted, rapidly dissolving into the flow of time. His gaze is penetrating, deep, but no longer quite there, as if Einstein's mind still hovers beyond space and time, in the very theory that revealed the secrets of the universe to mankind.
Viktoria Daneva, an artist from Moldova, works diversely across painting, textiles, digital, and conceptual visual arts. She creates art using form, colours, and unexpected materials, transforming fragments of impressions into harmonised realities. Her intimate works echo her deep philosophical observations, perfused with messages about time, ecology, and human interconnectedness.
