About this artwork
This work "Flaming Echo" from the series "Faces that disappear" looks like a spontaneous flashing of an image through a chaos of colors. Bright scarlet and orange tones dominate, like a flame in which the facial features dissolve, losing their clear contours. The strokes are thick, layered, and overlap each other, creating dynamics and tension.
Among this riot of color, only a hint of eyes and lips is caught, like a memory of a person gradually… disappearing in a whirlwind of emotions. The painting recalls the fleeting nature of impressions and the fragility of memories, which can flare up with vivid force and just as quickly fade away, leaving behind only a flaming trail.
