The work is made using the collage technique and is inspired by the idea of a connection between the past and the present. The concept originated in 2020, during a period of isolation when the world was in a state of uncertainty.
Creating collages has become a way to find order in chaos and accept circumstances. Using the available materials—wrapping paper, magazine pages, and old books—I began creating works that combine the past and the present.… This process became a therapy for me, filling the small space of the room with an endless world of creativity.
"Portals of Time" intertwine the wisdom of centuries and the dynamics of modernity. Silver inserts inspired by the philosophy of kintsugi symbolize the acceptance of imperfections and their transformation into new opportunities. This work is a reminder of the importance of our connections to the past and our ability to change the future, starting with ourselves.
