Atlas Falls is an expressionistic reinterpretation of the mythological figure Atlas — not as an invincible titan, but as a symbol of emotional collapse, responsibility, and human fragility.
The fractured blue figure struggles beneath the weight of existence while a divided red and yellow form radiates behind him like a breaking world, representing the ripple effects of failure, guilt, and consequence.
The painting explores how one mistake can fracture… families, relationships, and entire systems of support. Atlas becomes both protector and casualty: a father figure, a provider, and an idealistic man falling from grace under impossible expectations.
Through bold color contrasts, angular forms, and symbolic distortion, the work reflects the emotional burden of coexistence — and the painful reality that even those holding everything together can eventually collapse.
At its core, Atlas Falls is about vulnerability, consequence, and the human struggle to endure imperfection.
