About this artwork
The so-called "sand pictures" - a mixed technique of acrylic and sand on canvas - are abstract compositions that resemble organic landscapes through color gradients and colored sand structures and visually showcase natural processes.
In my work I fuse acrylic paints with sand to create an abstract landscape that feels both futuristic and surrealistic. I painted with passion and emotion, aiming to create an atmosphere of reflection that transports… the viewer to another world. This work of art is intended to bring a powerful energy to any home and stimulate the imagination.

Willi Lemke is an award-winning, multidisciplinary artist from Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally as well as in Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Spain, South Korea, Austria, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates. With a career spanning over fifty years, he has experienced many artistic phases. In Lemke's most recent work, upcycling and recycling are central to his artistic practice.
