About this artwork
I found this beauty at the Terra Vista Natural Study Area, a nature preserve within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The preserve in noted for having the longest running butterfly survey in Ohio, but on this day there were more dragonflies than butterflies. At first I thought it was a Dancer but later learned that it was in fact a Ruby Meadowhawk. The dancer idea stuck with me because of the way it delicately moved from plant to plant.
