About this artwork
A painting of a woman who is awaiting the return of her lover, or perhaps she is on her own and does not know when the lover returns. The candles still burn and the door is open. Rublev Oil Paint on Primed gessoed cotton canvas, framed to Guild of Framers Museum Standard. Thanks to Muse, a proportion of the sale goes to charity.
Oil on canvas, 24” x 20” plus frame size. Overall size approximately 27” x 23”. In crafting this painting, I poured my… soul into capturing a timeless moment steeped in introspection. With meticulous strokes of oil on canvas, I married realism with a vintage aura, encapsulating the contemplative silence of the scene. The play of light and shadow dances across the floor and walls, breathing life into this intimate space. This piece, infused with emotional depth, invites viewers to reflect on their own journeys, promising to instill a sense of serene nostalgia and profound connection in the heart of any home.
