About this artwork
This is a hybrid print. It is a repurposed high-resolution image of my own large-scale painting which I digitally reworked and enhanced with various marks and graphic enhancements. It is a high-quality 16 x 16 inch image printed on a 20 x 20 inch metallic/pearl paper which is fused on a 40 x 30 inch aluminum composite panel.

William Stoehr is an experienced US painter with international exposure. At the core of Stoehr work is the desire to explore fundamental issues of our time. Intolerance, discrimination, addiction, violence and war-its victims, witnesses and survivors-are all central themes in his oeuvre. Working freely, Stoehr paints through drip, brush, pour, scrub and scrape techniques while applying a variety of lines, dots and other adjustments to the canvas. The result are deeply intimate portraits that reveal new emotions at every viewing.
