About this artwork
Many people find the image aesthetically pleasing. The radiant sunlight and the geometric patterns of the white lines against the deep blue sky can evoke feelings of vastness, freedom, and peace. It brings to mind holidays and wanderlust.
If these stripes are interpreted as "chemtrails", feelings of fear, powerlessness or anger about a supposed manipulation of the environment can arise.
From a scientific or environmental perspective, the image… can evoke thoughtfulness or concern. The high density of contrails is a visible sign of massive air traffic and its impact on the climate (greenhouse effect caused by artificial cloud formation). Here, a rational concern for nature takes precedence.
Some people feel nostalgic at the sight of such a "furrowed" sky, as they remember times when the sky was more often clear and without artificial lines.
