About this artwork
With this work, I wanted to capture the tension between light and darkness, the tumultuous energy of the sea and the fragility of sails blown by the wind. The contrast between fluid watercolors and graphite and ink strokes expresses inner turmoil, while the vibrant colors convey a lively and mysterious energy, ready to transform its surroundings.

I was born in Sicily. The south and the Mediterranean are the roots of my soul and my feelings. I have a classical education. I could have been a doctor if I hadn't encountered theater. And in theater, my infinite journey into art begins. I am an actor and a director, a playwright and a writer. And I love using the verb "to be," because I have never in my life done something I am not. I love playing with light, a game I have nurtured by turning to photography, which led to an honorable mention at the IPA in Los Angeles in 2017. And in the play of light, I found painting, a language that allows me countless escapes, each of which brings me back to myself.
I exhibit in Italy and abroad, including Monte Carlo, Luxembourg, Berlin, Miami.
