When drawing a woman's gentle and mysterious image I experience joy, peace, and harmony.
Harmony to me is poetry of lines and colors that has a life of its own.

My silk paintings are wall hangings.
Stretched over stretcher bur sides are painted and… ready to hang.
The painted silk looks beautiful after steaming; the colors become brighter and more intense,
and the full sheen of the silk is restored. Now you can wash it, the color won't come off.
You don’t need to wash wall hangings though; the color will stay for a long time like oil paint.

Yelena Sidorova is a passionate painter based in the US whose love of creating developed as a child, when she would invent stories on paper with pencils and clay. Striving to convey emotions through her art, She composes works that carry poetic expressions of line and color that flow onto her silk and oil paintings. She explores a wide variety of subjects, including landscapes, street scenes, people, flowers and still life, and seeks to make her style bright and decorative across all of them.
