About this artwork
The painting ‘Decision’ is a part of the Architectural series. The colors are changing depending on the viewer’s position and the source of light. Direct light causes the painting’s reflection since arches are painted with gold acrylic paint. The more light arches are exposed to, the less deepness they project and vice-versa.
Nine arches represent different choices. Ochre red and symmetry for me symbolize decisiveness in decision making.

Zeljka Paic is a prizewinning painter from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who has exhibited her work internationally. With a background in architecture, geometry and science heavily influence her artistic practice, but she seeks to balance this technical precision with the importance of expressing emotion and spontaneous thought during the creative process. Her finished works are striking gatherings of metallic color combinations and bold brush strokes.
