About this artwork
It begins with a contradiction: humanity longs for eternity yet lives only within the fissures of time. This contradiction is not abstract but visceral, like the belatedness of light, it reveals that every moment we perceive is already obsolete. When we say “now,” we are, in fact, pointing to an irretrievable past.
This becomes the core of my practice: to unmask the illusion of the present, and to turn its rupture into the very force of work. The… stillness of the lake is not consolation, but cruelty reflects not being, but loss. The encounter of the black swans is not romantic but absurd—they signify accident within destiny, while simultaneously foreshadowing inevitable separation.
