A curation by Vlad Merariu, Curator at Dance Artworks Gallery - This curation traces the figure of the black swan as it crosses stages, lakes, and imaginations, from ink-drawn dancers caught mid arabesque to monumental canvases charged with crimson, graphite, and steel. Each artwork isolates a different register of metamorphosis and tension, using contrast, negative space, and material weight to translate poise into structure and drama into line. Together they form a choreography of still images in which elegance is never entirely serene, but always edged with risk, intensity, and the possibility of rupture.
