About this artwork
Created using my original Micopainting technique, this work begins with forest mushrooms as an artistic medium, later developed in oil.
The female body here is both exposed and protected. It is one of the most profound and beautiful forms created by nature — alive, sensitive, and whole.
Her skin carries organic imprints that resemble natural growths — traces of experience, emotion, and memory.
Like in nature, nothing disappears without a mark.…
The fungi structures become a metaphor for memory — for everything that accumulates within and becomes part of who we are.
No matter how beautiful the body is, memory remains.
It holds what was felt, what was said, what was lived through.
These organic textures do not destroy the form — they merge with it, becoming inseparable from identity.
Currently exhibited at my solo show in Riga. Available for reservation; shipping after April 4.
Golubeva, a painter and conceptual artist, experiments with various materials such as paper, wood, metal, natural elements, and plastic. She's captivated by nature's beauty, often making these ordinary objects the subjects of her art. By employing experimental techniques, she uniquely portrays landscapes, still lifes, and human figures. Her artistic journey is a profound dialogue, stirring emotions and reflecting her inner world through an expressive form of vitality.
