About this artwork
The Architect’s Breakfast explores the quiet moment before construction begins—when ideas exist only as structure, proportion, and thought. Geometric fields of blue and gray evoke blueprint paper, while visible white linear marks function as residual drafting lines, preserving the trace of revisions, measurements, and early decisions.
The composition balances precision with imperfection, referencing the human presence behind design systems. What… remains visible is not the finished building, but the process—calm, deliberate, and unresolved—where form is still becoming.
This work invites the viewer into that early hour of focus, when clarity emerges through restraint and structure holds space for possibility.
My roots in African American and Puerto Rican heritage infuse my vibrant styles with vibrant cultural storytelling. My work weaves together contemporary abstraction, urban folk narrative, and Afro-Caribbean symbolism. My working class parents were both creative people, he was an aspiring screenwriter, she was an aspiring fashion designer, they raised me in East Harlem NYC. I was a shy, introverted child with a lot of imagination. By my early twenties I worked my way through fashion and art school. Painting since I was 15, 40 years later I'm finally comfortable in my creativity and have devoted myself to exploring subjects and topics of interest to me. I'm neurodivergent so my styles vary, greatly. What brings me joy is knowing that I am contributing beauty and a piece of my heritage to those sophisticated enough to appreciate it. I have 3 cats, I also write novels and I'm working on an art book of my work to debut next year. My official studio site is : www.greenview-art-studio.com
