After the Blast - curated by Natalie Slater

A curation by Natalie Slater, Curator at Singulart - A curation of painters and digital artists unpacking the language of war — its symbols, its spectacle, its aftermath. Across styles that range from pop satire to expressionist unrest, these works expose the emotional choreography of conflict: the waiting, the watching, the silence before impact. Figures stand in uniforms beneath imagined skies; planes and explosions become almost decorative — weaponry as design, fear as composition. ‘After the Blast’ studies how history repeats itself through image-making. Missiles are rendered as icons, soldiers as silhouettes, slogans as brushstrokes. It’s not about glorification, but perception — how violence is aestheticized, how fear is sold, and how chaos can look almost serene when captured in color.
