A curation by Flavio Scaloni, Gallery Manager at Galerie Lo Scalo - Black is not the absence of color, but all colors together. Pierre Soulages, the undisputed master of black, would say something along these lines. Black is a philosophy, it's a statement, a unique voice. Still, I see that many artists feel the need to have some white appearing here and there, as is Black was looking for light. In this selection, I am impressed by the quality of the works and about how black proves to be, if need be, a vibrant color full of nuances and interpretations.
