A curation by Vlad Merariu, Curator at Dance Artworks Gallery - Bodies in Transition gathers works where the figure appears in states of tension, contact, suspension and change. Across painting, collage, resin, pigment and mixed media, the collection moves between embrace, torso, double portrait, coded surface, dream image and suspended form. Seen through a choreographer’s lens, these works read like traces of movement before and after action. A body holds. A figure shifts. A pair meets. A gesture waits. A surface records pressure. The collection invites the viewer to follow the body as it moves between intimacy and abstraction, skin and symbol, presence and transformation.
