Man is condemned to be free - curated by Chaltiel attali

A curation by Chaltiel attali, Founder at Attaly - Inspired by Jean-Paul Sartre's famous quote, this curation explores the human condition in all its complexity. Between lightness and gravity, solitude and community, each work reflects the inner tensions of existence: the injunction to choose, to position oneself, to define oneself. The paintings and drawings gathered here reveal introspective figures, anonymous crowds seen from above, and suspended gestures. They convey the beauty and sometimes the violence of our freedom: the freedom that forces us to invent our own meaning, to confront the vertigo of choice, but also to create our own path. This exhibition is an invitation to face up to our responsibilities, but also to celebrate the creative force within our freedom. As if each painting became a mirror of our own decisions, our impulses, and our doubts.
