Overgrowth - curated by Natalie Slater

A curation by Natalie Slater, Curator at Singulart - Florals accumulate here to the point of saturation. Fields extend beyond framing, petals repeat until they become pattern, and figures are overtaken—faces replaced, bodies edged out by bloom. Color gathers and holds you there. Pastels intensify rather than soften—layered, luminous, almost airless. The eye moves without landing, pulled from one cluster to the next, caught in a kind of visual drift where nothing recedes and nothing resolves. The works don’t describe flowers as much as they stage their excess. Growth is unchecked, decorative becomes structural, and beauty leans toward overwhelm.
