Theater: Stage, Presence, and Illusion - curated by Reka Kaloczy

A curation by Reka Kaloczy, Curator · Creative Consultant & Producer · Artist Mentor & Manager at - This collection explores the many faces of theater, from grand opera houses to intimate moments behind the curtain. Performers appear in rehearsal spaces, on illuminated stages, and caught mid-gesture, while richly detailed interiors reveal the atmosphere of performance venues. Costumes, masks, and theatrical settings create a world where reality and performance often overlap. Some works focus on the discipline and vulnerability of dancers and actors, while others highlight spectacle, ritual, and transformation. Together, they reflect theater as both a public art and a deeply human experience. It is a place of illusion and truth, shaped by light, movement, and presence, where each performance exists only briefly before becoming memory.
