About this artwork
Venus rode a wave shaped like a fancy French curve. The machinations of time and space moved forward and back like mighty gears that made sense to no one. Beings and non-beings bumped, collided, sputtered, and flowed. Creatures strange and ancient looked on in judgment. The camel looked on impassively while others hissed with envy. Simple forms of life wriggled with the need to self-sustain.

By assembling recurring figures—dogs, camels, goddesses—he evokes tension, conflict, and eventual harmony.
