About this artwork
In my work, I capture the mysterious beauty of the Alps: The interplay of light and shadow over the tranquil Schwangausee and the majestic mountains in the background create a sensual experience. This painting is an invitation to immerse oneself in the peace and enigma of nature. It is intended to encourage the viewer to feel the stillness and surrender to the boundless beauty of nature.
Like all my photographs, I offer printing on PhotoRag fine… art paper – this paper boasts brilliant colors, is museum-quality, and, according to the manufacturer, lightfast for up to 100 years. This image is also perfectly suited for Ilford Washi paper. While the colors aren't quite as vibrant as on PhotoRag, each sheet is handmade and therefore unique!

Andreas Bromba, a photographer since the age of 16, uses both analogue techniques and digital processes in his work. He likes to spin his creations in series, sometimes using a minimalist aesthetic, other times with echoes of Yves Klein's striking blue. Andreas Bromba's photos are sharp, but with a certain tenderness, and explore the inscrutability of life, our everyday struggles and the connection between humanity.
