About this artwork
The work "Underwater" was inspired by a vacation in Portugal and captures the feeling that arises when one dives underwater—that moment of stillness, weightlessness, and muted perception. With flowing color transitions and soft textures, the image translates this sensual impression into a visual language. The composition invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the depths and experience the interplay of sound, stillness, and movement on an emotional… level—like a moment in which time pauses for a breath.
Anna Frieda Kuzaj, aka ateliercollide, uses a variety of media, including painting, photography, drawing, and digital art, influenced by her artistic career, which has extended all the way to Hamburg. She experiments with acrylic pouring, realistic sketches, and impulsive expressionism, with her works oscillating between abstract, colorful experiments and realistic detail work. Through intuitive processes and meditative work, she aims to convey the courage to embrace mistakes, creativity, and self-discovery—her art is vibrant and inspires playful self-acceptance.
