About this artwork
The bridge is located at an altitude of 420 meters above sea level, is 56 meters long, and 3.5 meters wide. It is one of the most mystical and magnetic places in the Rhodope Mountains, and to this day, legends and mysteries surround it. Legend of its construction: A young master, faced with the impossibility of constructing the bridge, made a pact with the devil. According to legend, the devil offered to build the bridge if the master would draw… his face on the design. "Devilish" image: It is said that in sunny weather, a reflection can be seen under the bridge, creating the image of the devil, thanks to which the physical form and its reflection in the water are combined. I painted the bridge from fresh memories; my husband and I went there in October 2025. It turned out to be a beautiful autumn landscape. The bridge is reflected in the water like a mirror. By the way, no matter how many times I looked from the bridge, I never saw the image of the devil in the water. It's a legend!)
