About this artwork
This piece is composed of three canvases.
A woman. A man. The circles in the centre represent the spiritual force of the mandala, the love, the life, the guide. The parrot brings the symbols of love and fertility to this narrative. It is an Ode to love, to life.
For me, GOD, my GOD, is the ultimate presence of something that expands to infinity, it is the measure of all silences, the continuum underlying the perfect circle, the immensity of the… cosmos, the ethereal lines that bind us together but do not imprison us, as music notes find their place amidst the silence.
Aylal Heydarova, a painter and sculptor from Baku, Azerbaijan, with advanced training in Theatre Décor & Design and a Master’s from the University of Leeds, uses her multicultural roots as fertile ground for her art. Her technique blends pointillism, abstraction, and modernism, employing vivid color, symbolic imagery, and layered textures across both canvas and sculpture. She seeks to ignite empathy and reflection, conveying a powerful sense of collective memory, hope, and the emotional complexity of nature and humanity’s shared journey.
