Sharing one of the most heart-warming moments I’ve photographed in the wild—Arrowhead and her newborn cubs.
Arrowhead, the iconic tigress of Ranthambhore National Park, was raising her first surviving litter, and I had been eagerly waiting for the chance to photograph her with her cubs.
On a scorching summer afternoon, the moment finally arrived. Arrowhead appeared at a waterhole with her two tiny tots. After quietly quenching their thirst, the… trio moved closer to where we were. Soon, the cubs began to play, their innocence on full display. When Arrowhead lay down, she kept a watchful eye on them—periodically checking on her cubs and gently licking them, a perfect reflection of a mother’s instinct and care.
Moments like these remind me why the wild is so special.
