About this artwork
On this canvas I combined acrylics, gold leaf and sand, creating an explosion of textures and colors between ears of corn and dry grass. The ears of corn were the first symbol I thought of to represent nature. The reason I like the ears of corn so much is because of their structure, strong and determined to survive the wind, the heat or the drought. They swing and rise towards the sky almost touching the infinite, they bend but do not break. The… landscape is typically late summer with warm shades of pastel colors. The wheat field has given itself over to death. The sickles are already cutting the ears. The poplars sway, speaking to the subtle soul of the breeze. Only the wheat wants silence. It has coagulated in the sun, and sighs in the wide element where lively dreams linger. The day, now saturated with light and sound, declines behind the blue mountains. What mysterious thought disturbs the ears of corn? What rhythm of dreamy sadness agitates the fields?
Claudia Amadesi blends multi-material techniques and a passion for nature in her textured, minimalist works. Her works are distinguished by their ability to play with light, transform matter, and use it as a tool to deconstruct and rework reality, transporting the viewer into a spiritual dimension. The boundaries between reality and reality blur, allowing each work to reveal the fruit of a visceral and interior impulse, the drive that characterizes her expressive artistic exploration through the "groove" technique. It is a tale of emotions and sensations, a journey into the depths of the soul. The material, in her hands, becomes dynamic, coming to life in space, creating plays of light and shadow that amplify the visual experience, an invitation to a profound dialogue between the visible and the invisible, between emotion and matter.
