About this artwork
" Here and There" is a stunning abstract expressionist painting that showcases the unique style of the artist.
The 80cmx100cm piece is made with acrylic on beautiful smooth acid-free paper and is stretched on cardboard, framed with a white 2cm deep wood frame. The use of foam rollers and knives, characteristic of the artist, gives the painting a smooth quality that adds to its visual appeal.
The striking, bold modern colors of turquoise and deep… violet play with luminous white and lemon yellow, creating an electrifying energy that is palpable in the air.
The bold large yellow curvy strokes that round up the lower part of the painting add to its dynamic quality, while the overall feeling of intensity and lightness gives the piece a sense of growth and ascent.

« In the beginning, the mind is as blank as the canvas. Then the hands begin their dance, the heart chooses its colors, and the emotions their expression. »
Delphine Bernard is an artist based in France whose paintings have been widely exhibited in Singapore and Indonesia. She compares each of her compositions as being like a vision or a dream and characterizes her artistic process to being "shamanistic". Bernard creates intuitively, allowing her hands to "dance and play" with colors on the canvas. Her vibrant compositions are created using acrylics on canvas.
