Transmutography, from the "RUSPA" collection, a former Italian boxer and European superweltherweight champion, who had this image in his children's bedroom. The electric guitar, his children's toy, on which I applied resin to the frets, recalls the youthful freedom rock of Southern California, whose means of transportation was the Volkswagen T1 transporter, Samba version. Around the guitar, I inserted a stylized image of a small band playing, denoting… how music, starting with a guitar, was a source of unity. Although it resembles digitography, another technique I invented, since it features identical images reiterated, it is actually a transmutography, since the initial image, likely inspired by Warhol's multiples, was already in version four. This work aims to communicate freedom, rebellion, and fun, much like that of the "flower child" generation of the 1970s, even if... (perhaps it wasn't as they told us).
