About this artwork
How could I photograph the poppies differently than I had two years ago? After pacing the field for three hours early that morning, I still hadn't found an answer. I took a few interesting shots, but were they better than the ones from two years ago? I didn't think so. Then, around 1 p.m., when I looked up, I saw small white clouds appear. And then I knew: that was it, the answer.
The photograph was awarded a prize and published by PHOTO magazine… as part of the world's largest photo competition 2025-2026.
