About this artwork
The silhouette, a dense, solid black, acts as an anchor of darkness that absorbs the light, leaving only the center of the face to vibrate with chaotic energy. In this space, the brushstrokes are no longer just colors, but fragments of an identity struggling to avoid disappearing into absolute blackness.
Pale pinks, mustard yellows, and electric blues intertwine in thick, curved strokes that evoke abstract flesh, while black patches in place of… eyes deepen the sense of introspective emptiness. Darkness not only surrounds the figure but also emanates from it, creating a dramatic contrast with the luminosity of the central brushstrokes. It is a portrait of isolation, where color is the only trace of life in an environment dominated by shadow and silence.
