About this artwork
The work was created early in the year, when the slowly receding darkness of the season made us dream of spring and summer. The painting shows the blue sky dancing in the hazy light of the afternoon sun and opens up space for the viewer's imagination and emotion, and we are free to float and dream in it. The fine pastel nuances are friendly and positive despite the drama of the often rough sea. The motif is free of people or their influence on nature.… Nothing disturbs the peaceful scenery. Peace and relaxation spread and give the viewer a feeling of inner contentment. The viewer has this scene to himself at this moment. He can follow his thoughts and reflect on himself.
« I want to be creative and experience creativity. Therefore I paint what I feel and with great tension, I look at what surrounds me. »
Hasso Heybrock is an artist based in Germany who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Denmark, Italy, and Spain. He believes that looking at a painting means walking into an unknown adventure through the picture, where hidden emotions come to the surface. For Heybrock, making the adventure as intense and exciting as possible for the viewer is his main challenge as a painter.
