About this artwork
For me, the creative process of painting is always a journey into the unknown. I vaguely sense the path in advance, but the concrete goal only becomes clear at the end of the process. With "arc bleu" I wanted to learn more about contrast and placed pastel-colored zones opposite dark blue areas. I repeated this process in several layers to achieve depth and intensify the interaction of white, the pastel tones and the dark blue arch. I repeatedly rearranged…
shapes and colors until the desired tension-filled yet harmonious order was achieved. The painting appears open and friendly and stimulates the viewer's imagination. The abstract painting style leaves room for thoughts and dreams, both as a whole and in every detail.
