About this artwork
In the evening, at twilight, I am often alone on the beach; everything seems untouched and, on windless days, absolutely peaceful. I follow this mood and let what I experience affect me. The light is usually gentle and creates warm colors and soft-focus shapes. The landscape structures slowly disappear and I experience the soft pastel tones of dusk intensely and in a balanced mood. The night can come and I am already looking forward to the new day,…
tomorrow. This painting, along with "see you tomorrow" and "morning has broken", is part of a small series of my beach impressions in the evening.
