About this artwork
I live near the sea in northern Germany and this is where I find my motifs and inspiration. In the summer I like to be on one of the countless beaches in the region and let myself be fascinated by the dynamism and the vastness and the mostly deserted distance of this scenery. The special light on clear summer days particularly emphasizes the play of colors between the sky and sea tones and the colors of the beach and the dune landscape. The waves… are constantly hitting the shore - mostly peaceful and gentle in summer. "Calm Beach" is caught up in this mood. With its friendly detailed scenes and colors, the painting invites the viewer to absorb this friendly and peaceful mood.
« I want to be creative and experience creativity. Therefore I paint what I feel and with great tension, I look at what surrounds me. »
Hasso Heybrock is an artist based in Germany who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Denmark, Italy, and Spain. He believes that looking at a painting means walking into an unknown adventure through the picture, where hidden emotions come to the surface. For Heybrock, making the adventure as intense and exciting as possible for the viewer is his main challenge as a painter.
