About this artwork
In my work I have worked with oil paints on paper to create a figurative, expressive composition. The dynamic brushstrokes and the intense colors convey a strong emotionality. This artwork is intended to invite the viewer to explore the power of expression and to develop a deep connection with the emotions I experienced during the creative process. It will bring an energetic atmosphere to any room.

Ilona Ottenbreit is a German painter, sculptor and draftsman who has exhibited extensively in both solo and group events in Germany and the United Kingdom. Her works examine rhythm and movement, as it is the 'cause of our lives'. Ottenbreit's sculptures portray groups of people in movement, representing a collective connection, or oneness. She begins her process by sketching and examining motion, following the dancer with lines and recording what she can intuitively grasp.
