The painting “Icy Cunning” depicts a red fox slowly rising from its snowy den. With grim determination it continues its way through the frosty surroundings. An expression of the bitter struggle for survival in the cold season.
The color scheme includes blue-gray tones that gently fade into purple to capture the mysterious color palette of winter. Foxes fascinate me with their mischievous character. They seem like shy, red ghosts that are rarely… seen, making every encounter all the more precious.
When I was young, the film “The Fox and the Girl” by Luc Jacquet touched me deeply and awakened my enthusiasm for foxes.
