Nowadays, while picking up mussels on the beach, one can have unexpected encounters that plunge us by surprise into the turpitudes of our planet as it drifts. This happens under an undecided sky between dawn and sunset, an intense pink, conferring an atmosphere of false serenity.
A medieval village, left foreground, richly detailed with its half-timbered houses and thatched roofs, resurfaces from a distant era when architecture… was synonymous with robustness and rustic charm. With a well-established culture.
In the center, the villagers on stage go about their daily activities, but the surreal element that immediately strikes is the armored horseman, then the intriguing face embedded in an atypical structure, this gaze on the spectator. The insertion of a modern portrait in an indefinite historical context adds a dimension of plural time, which blurs the boundaries between past and present.
